  • Come Write In

    When: Saturday, November 17, 2018 – 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Study Room A

    We’re setting aside one of our study rooms as a designated ‘Come Write In’ space every Saturday during National Novel Writing Month! Don’t forget that all month long we’ve got lots of inspirational nooks for you to curl up in while you craft your masterpiece!

  • RESCHEDULED Mindfulness For Better Sleep

    When: Saturday, November 17, 2018 – 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Meeting Room

    This program has been rescheduled to January 19.
    Mindfulness meditation has been scientifically proven to improve brain health, reduce stress and anxiety, and to enhance the quality of a good night’s sleep . Sleep is a major factor in maintaining the overall health of every system of the body and mind. You will learn breath awareness, body awareness, and present moment meditations while seated comfortably in a chair. This class also includes gentle chair yoga stretches, breathing techniques, Qigong, mantra, and acupressure points for better sleep.

  • Author Tom McGuire: 18th Century Lancaster Road and Taverns

    When: Sunday, November 18, 2018 – 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Meeting Room

    Lancaster Rd. was the main “highway” between Philadelphia and Lancaster. It was always busy, and used by both sides during the Revolutionary War. The presentation will include tidbits about what culinary choices and beverages you could expect to be served in the taverns that dotted the way.

  • Personal Wellness: Mind, Body, Spirit

  • Ukulele Lessons & Jam Sessions

    When: Monday, November 19, 2018 – 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Meeting Room

    Free Ukulele Workshop, Lessons and Jam Sessions. All levels of players welcome. Extra Ukulele’s available for the session.

  • English Language Classes (ESL)

    When: Monday, November 19, 2018 – 7:15 PM – 7:15 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library

    Learn English in a fun and supportive atmosphere. This evening ESL group meets to practice English with the help of experience ESL teacher Susan Pierson. No registration necessary, just stop by!

  • Hatha Yoga

    When: Tuesday, November 20, 2018 – 10:45 AM – 11:45 AM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Meeting Room

    Reduce Stress & improve your sense of well-being
    Focus on poses that stretch, lengthen & strengthen the body’s structure. Improve balance, core strength & alignment through slow movements.
    No experience necessary. Bring a mat for floor work.
    $5 fee per class.

  • Positive Habit Change: Patience and Self-Compassion

    When: Tuesday, November 20, 2018 – 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Meeting Room

    We develop habits for a reason. They can protect us, they can make us feel good, they can help us fit in. Whether we label them as “good” habits or “bad” habits, when they no longer serve us, it can be difficult to break them. Mindfulness and Meditation can be helpful in “training the brain” to adopt new habits. Attend one session or all four: September 18, October 9, November 20 and December 11.

  • Read It & Steep

    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Conference Room

    Read It & Steep welcomes readers with a love of non-traditional titles, scrumptious treats & spirited conversation. Read It & Steep meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 pm. New members are always welcome.
