  • Writers' Group

    When: Thursday, March 30, 2017 – 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
    Where: Paoli Library at Paoli Library Meeting Room

    Come when you can to the Writers’ Group–no need to arrive at 12:30 or stay until 5:00. Review work, trade literary tips, make friends and have fun! Connect with other writers and build a thriving community together. All writers,and all should-be writers, are welcome!
    Times are flexible–please contact the organizers for details!

    Bring your poetry, your novels, your short stories, and your inspiration. This group is an opportunity for creative writers of all genres to come together and support one another as we develop our skills and confidence as writers. We will hold open meetings with some formal guidelines, to share our writing and inspire one other.

  • Meditation for Beginners

    Learn to meditate in this 1 hour session. This simple 12 – 18 minute practice will teach you Isha Kriya meditation.

  • William Kashatus will discuss new book, Suicide Squeeze

    Author William Kashatus will discuss his newest book, Suicide Squeeze: Taylor Hooten, Rob Garibaldi, and the Fight Against Teenage Steroid Abuse. William Kashatus is a historian, longtime educator and amateur baseball coach. He is the author of several books on baseball including “Jackie and Campy: The Untold Story Of Their Rocky Relationship and the Breaking of Baseballs Color Line.” “Suicide Squeeze” is a A heartbreaking story of steroids-related suicides by two promising young amateur baseball players that mobilized Major League Baseball’s campaign against steroid use.

    This informative workshop will delve into a research-based philosophy and strategies to create a LinkedIn profile that is geared towards viewers with average attention spans of about 7 seconds. You’ll get insights into the role of cognitive neuroscience and how the evolution of the “digital brain” is central to what and how people skim online content. You’ll discover tips, tricks, and best practices to more strategically format your LinkedIn profile, optimize your use of keywords, and differentiate your personal brand.
