Family Storytime 

All year, all thchildrene time Family Storytime never ends! Even though we are between program sessions you can still attend Family Storytime on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:30 AM. Just drop in for stories, music and fun.

 

 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Join the Worm on books1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Club at Tredyffrin Public Library! Read 1,000 books with your child before he or she enters school–a goal experts say children need to help them learn to read for themselves. 

One of the best ways to encourage learning is to spend time sharing books every day. Reading together helps develop important pre-reading skills that provide a solid reading foundation—a key to school and learning success. Plus, sharing stories together is fun!

    Join Whole Foods Market’s Healthy Eating Specialist, Sloan Bennett in this children’s cooking series aimed at teaching kids to enjoy superfoods!
    Sloan will cook, sample, and share her favorite kid-friendly recipes of our Superfood Superhero of the week. This week we celebrate KALE!!

    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Meeting Room

    Children ages 4 and up join us for an adventurous exploration of science and the unknown. No registration. This event will be held in the Large Meeting Room. Tickets will be given out starting 30 minutes before program begins.

  • Super Hero Training Camp

    When: Monday, July 06, 2015 – 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Tyler Hedges Children’s Room

    Children ages 5-8 join us for a super hero training camp. Get ready to challenge and sharpen your super hero skills.
    Child attends independently.

  • Reader's Theater

    When: Tuesday, July 07, 2015 – 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Tyler Hedges Children’s Room

    Children ages 6-12, limited to 18 participants per week. You’ll learn basic stage terms and acting skills through one-and-done readings of children’s plays and stories from our collection. No experience or memorizing necessary, nor is it necessary to attend every week.

  • Heroes in Art Jr.

    When: Tuesday, July 07, 2015 – 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Tyler Hedges Children’s Room

    Children ages 6-8, limited to 18 participants per week (children ages 9-12 are welcome to join the older Heroes in Art class). This is an art appreciation and drawing class with a focus on comics, graphic art, illustration, and movements in fine art that utilize the same concepts (Cubism, Pop Art, etc.). It is not necessary to attend every week.

    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Tyler Hedges Children’s Room

    When: Friday, July 10, 2015 – 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
    Where: Tredyffrin Public Library at Tyler Hedges Children’s Room

    A book discussion group for lovers of graphic novels, comics, and anime films. Please bring a favorite graphic-related book or film to share and prepare a five-minute “advertisement” for it. Pre-registration required each month.
