German Language Playgroup
Meets the first Friday of each month from 10:30-11:30 am. Stories, songs and sing-alongs—all in German. For ages 5 and under (with an adult). Please register by email: Beverly Michaels at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Science in the Summer

This year's subject will be Physical Science, or magnetism and electricity.
- Level 1 for children entering grades 2 and 3 will be from 1:45 to 2:45 pm.
- Level 2 for children entering grades 4,5, and 6 will be from 3- 4 pm.

Let’s Get Outside Willistown and Malvern and celebrate the arrival of summer with a sizzling Park Party! Have a blast getting your face painted, visiting the Sleepy Hollow Farms petting zoo, feeding the animals, taking a pony ride, watching the juggling one man band, and dancing and prancing to the DJ’s tunes! Kids aged Kindergarten through teens can sign up for the GO WilMa! outdoor adventure program. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. No entry fee. Rain date: June 20.
The goals of the GO WilMa program include:
- Promoting physical activity
- Promoting Willistown Township's and Malvern Borough's parks, open space, historic and community treasures, and the Town of Malvern
- Promoting reading
- Promoting curiosity about the natural world
- Promoting health/fitness/wellness
- Creating a sense of community
GO WilMa (Get Outside Willistown and Malvern) combines parks and recreation, health and wellness, and reading. If you participate in the Malvern or Paoli Library summer reading program, you can participate in the GO WilMa! fun.

The program is modeled after and portions copied with permission from the Healthy York County Coalition's GO York program (goyork.org). Spearheaded by Willistown Parks and Recreation, the Willistown/Malvern program team includes Willistown Township, Malvern Borough, Malvern Library, Paoli Library, Paoli Hospital, and Activate Chester County.
All events will take place at Paoli Library, 18 Darby Road in Paoli, unless otherwise noted.
Paoli Library Summer Reading Kick-Off Party

This event takes place at the Paoli Fire Station, 69 Darby Road, Paoli
Come kick off summer reading at this fun family event with crafts, refreshments, and special entertainment by magician Mike Rose! Join the Children’s Summer Reading Club at Paoli Library!
All ages are welcome. Register by parent name and include how many total family members will attend the event. In the notes section, please include ages of children to ensure we’ll have enough craft supplies for everyone. Activities include root vegetable printing, so please have children bring or wear appropriate clothing.

Explore the beauty underground with Paoli Library and the Delaware Art Museum. Learn about cave art, abstract worm paintings, and colorful water gardens! For children ages 7-10.
Create A Cave!

Discover ancient cave art at Paoli Library! We’ll explore how and why ancient man made cave art, and then create our own version on the library walls. For children ages of 7– 12.
Diggers in the Dirt

Get your hands dirty at Paoli Library and explore what lives under your feet during this hands-on presentation presented by Tyler Arboretum. Get up-close and personal with live worms and learn about other creatures that live underground, like chipmunks and groundhogs. For children ages 6-11.

If you love dinosaurs, don’t miss this program at Paoli Library! Randy Lyons brings his years of experience finding and extracting dinosaurs fossils and other animal bones. For children ages 8-12. This program is sponsored by Citadel Bank.
Wednesday, July 31, 4:30-5:30 pm
Come to Paoli Library and explore vegetables and herbs with Chanticleer Gardens’ vegetable gardener Emma Seniuk! Smell, touch, and taste lots of herbs and veggies, and even a flower or two! Learn how to plant herbs and veggies and take home a delicious potted herb plant. For children ages of 8-12.
Wednesday, August 7, 4:30-5:30 pm
Dig into your literary side and explore the importance of setting when telling a story! Come to Paoli Library and create your own book set underground. For children ages of 8-11.
