Director

Mallory came to Tredyffrin Township Libraries in May 2023 after being with her previous library for more than 20 years. She has both bachelors and masters degrees in Library Science from Kutztown University. She is a library user and advocate who loves ice cream, dogs, coffee, books, time with her family, and squirrels, but not necessarily together and not necessarily in that order.

Assistant Director & Head of Technical Services

Valerie Green has been with Tredyffrin Public Library since 1996 and is Assistant Director and Head of Technical Services.

Children’s Librarian

Stephanie Bragg started with the township libraries in 2013 as a reference librarian. From 2017 – 2021, Stephanie served as the Youth Services Librarian at branch library Paoli Library.

She is now Head of the Children’s Department at Tredyffrin Public Library. She loves Disney, Zachariah O’Hora books, and escape rooms.

Circulation Manager

Tara Thorne has been the Circulation Manager of Tredyffrin Public Library since 2011.

Head of Reference & Technology

Jonathan Trice came to Tredyffrin Public Library in 2017 as a part-time reference librarian. In June of 2022, Jonathan took over the position of Head of Reference & Technology.

Children's Department & Administrative Support

Michele Bolay has been in Youth Services at Tredyffrin since 1990, where she has run many programs, ordered many books, recruited and supervised many teen volunteers, and organized many closets. Her favorite programs, past and present, have been Preschool Storytime, American Girls After School, the FRAMED art program, Plant Club, and Family Book Club. In her spare time, Michele is a personal organizer; directs plays and serves on the board of a local theater; creates various gifts and tabletop gardens from vintage and upcycled items as co-owner of Quirky Little Cottage; volunteers with Better Days Ahead in Phoenixville; and is the personal round-the-clock servant to her demanding tuxedo cat, Tora. She is a savory/salty person in general, but loves (most) pie.

Teen Librarian

Laurie Doan wears many hats at the library. She is the teen librarian, works at the reference desk, and does administrative work.

Adult Programming & Community Outreach Coordinator

Sam Sorensen started in Tredyffrin’s Children’s department in 2013 and worked in Circulation and Reference before leaving in 2018. Their varied pursuits over the years include college writing and literature instructor, archival assistant, managing editor, contributing writer, tutor, writing center administrator, retail manager, and visual arts assistant. In 2023, Sam returned to TPL as the Adult Programming and Community Outreach Coordinator. They are currently a doctoral candidate in English at Lehigh University, and their research explores contemporary U.S. literature, epistemology, and intellectual histories. Sam loves a good soup.

Fundraising Associate

Rachel Kramer joined the Tredyffrin Public Library team as Fundraising Associate in 2018. A prior patron of TPL, Rachel believes in libraries and how they can shape their communities.

Marketing Associate

Head Librarian

Abby came to Paoli Library in August 2024. Originally from Ohio, she has worked in libraries ever since her time as an undergraduate history student. She has also worked in museums, tech support, and customer service. She loves medieval history, Wales, and knitting.

Children's & Youth Services Librarian

In July 2022, Sarah joined the Paoli Library staff as Youth Services Librarian with nine years of public library work and extensive experience working with children. Sarah earned her Bachelors in Library Science at Kutztown University in 2016 and her MLIS from Clarion University in 2018. She loves film photography and has two beautiful cats named Molly and Merlin. Sarah especially loves chicken noodle soup.
