New Electric Charging Stations

Electric Charging Stations now available at TPL

Tredyffrin Public Library now has two electric vehicle chargers installed in our parking lot. The stations can be found by the parking lot entrance near the street.

This project was initiated and overseen by the Township’s Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC). It is part of the Township’s goal to identify public areas for installation of equipment to promote “green” or “clean” energy initiatives.

The cost of the charging units and the installation is covered by a program made available through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Costs associated with the operation of the charging stations is covered by the Township and will be minimal.  The Township intends to monitor use to determine whether or not to continue with the initiative. There is potential to pursue the installation of additional, more advanced charging stations in public spaces around the township in the future.

Those who drive electric cars are invited to take advantage of the stations when they are at the library.
