Movie Screenings


General Information

Entry 

Our Saturday Cinema & Final Friday Movie Screenings take place after Tredyffrin Public Library has closed for the evening. Patrons will not be able to access the library during these events & doors will open 15 minutes before the film start time.

Registration

We ask you to register for each film so we can be appropriately prepared. The staff spends time setting out chairs and making popcorn. Feel free to bring your own blankets or cushions to increase your comfort.

Treats

You may bring your own food & drink to the library, but absolutely no alcohol is permitted on library grounds as per Tredyffrin Township Management.

If you bring your own treats, please clean up after yourself.

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Charles Dickens himself, played by the chicken-crazy Great Gonzo, narrates this tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s spoiled life. Scrooge is hated by all. Even the (puppet) mice in the street know he’s no good. Scrooge runs a mortgage company and relishes debtors’ misfortune and sneers at his nephew and solicitors. When he is visited by the ghosts of Richard and Jacob Marley and then the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, Scrooge has to decide whether to live out the fate he sees or thaw his heart for a better, more loving life.

The Christmas-hating Grinch lives above the merry town of Whoville. Down below, the mayor of Whoville has deemed that Christmas is going to be three times as big as in previous years. So the Grinch decides he’s going to ruin everyone’s holiday by pretending to be Santa and stealing the entire town’s presents and decorations. But adorable little Cindy Lou Who, whose mother, Donna Lou, is a hard-working single mom, has a plan of her own: trap Santa and ask him for a very special gift.
