Introducing our mobile hotspot lending program
Tredyffrin Township Libraries are partnering with T-Mobile to offer mobile hotspots to our patrons for a nominal fee. The Library hotspot program allows library card holders to access unlimited, high-speed Internet service anywhere a T-Mobile signal can be received. Connect up to ten devices at a time, including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc. Perfect for those who have no Internet access at home, are going on vacation, or taking their business on the road.
Tredyffrin Public Library offers the following hotspot options:
- 1 first come, first serve hotspot with a 3 day lending period. It may not be reserved. The fee is $6.
- 1 reservable hotspot that lends for a 3 day period. The fee is $6.
- 1 reservable hotspot that lends for a 7 day period. The fee is $14.
- 1 reservable hotspot that lends for a 14 day period. The fee is $28.
Reserve a hotspot from Tredyffrin Public Library – Picked up and return hotspots to the Adult Circulation Desk at Tredyffrin Public Library, only during business hours.
Paoli Library offers the following hotspot option:
- 1 first come, first serve hotspot with a 3 day period. It may not be reserved. The fee is $6.
Pick up and return the hotspot at the Circulation Desk at Paoli Library, only during business hours.

How do I reserve a hotspot?

Is there a charge to borrow a hotspot?
3 day hotspots lend for a $6 fee. 7 day hotspots lend for a $14 fee. 14 day hotspots lend for a $28 fee.
Who can reserve a hotspot?
Valid Chester County Library System cardholders who are 18 years old or older and whose cards are fine free can reserve a hotspot.
How far in advance can I reserve a hotspot?
Make reservations up to 2 months in advance.
Can I cancel my reservations?
You can cancel your Tredyffrin Public Library hotspot reservations through the My Passes option on Tixkeeper. For further information, call the Tredyffrin Public Library Reference Desk at 610.688.7092 x 212 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. At this time, Paoli Library only offers 1 first come, first serve hotspot that loans for 3 days.
Where do I pick up the hotspot?
At Tredyffrin Public Library, pick up at the Adult Circulation Desk. At Paoli Library, pick up at the Circulation Desk.
Do I need my library card to pick up the hotspot?
Yes, you will need to present the library card that you used when reserving the hotspot to pick it up, unless your record indicates that someone else is authorized to pick up your materials.
Can I renew the hotspot I have checked out?
We’re sorry that we can not offer renewals on the hotspots at this time.
What if I can’t pick up the hotspot until after the reservation date?
You can cancel your hotspot reservation. If you cannot pick up your reserved hotspot, but don’t want to cancel your loan, please call the library on the first day of your reservation. If you choose to continue with your loan, please note that you will have one less day of total checkout time for the hotspot, but still must pay the regular fee for the full rental period.
What if I reserve a hotspot, but don’t check it out?
If you do not notify the library that you can not pick up on the day of your reservation or simply do not pick up your hotspot, you will forfeit your reservation. The first time you fail to pick up hotspot, you will receive a warning. The second time you will be unable to make a reservation for six months.
Where do I return my hotspot?
Return the hotspot to the Circulation Desk of the same library from which you picked it up during open hours. To prevent damage to the hotspot, please do not put the hotspot in a book drop.
What is the late fee or replacement fee?
The late fee is $20 per day. We charge $95: $70 for the cost of the unit and a $25 processing fee for lost or damaged hotspots.
