The following roles may be filled by a contracted employee or a volunteer. The same person may cover all classes, or we can build a team of teachers.
We need teachers for:
One 60 minute ESL class weekly, in the evening. The class will be offered in person, with the option for students to Zoom in. (We have found that most ESL students desire in-person classes.) The class was proposed to be a 10-week session, but this can be changed with teacher input. The teacher will have a budget for workbooks that students may annotate and keep, for each session. The teacher for this class must have or be in the process of earning ESL certification.
One 60 minute English Conversation group weekly, in the evening. The teacher for this class need not have certification.
We ask that the contracted employee or volunteer who takes on one or both of these roles be able to commit to weekly classes.
- One 60-minute session/program offered weekly, in both an in-person and in a hybrid format (using Zoom).
- One 60-minute conversation group hosted/offered weekly.
- Previous face-to-face or online ESL instruction or tutoring experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
